Smokey Ouachita's

The Photograph, "Smokey Ouachita's", Was Created In The Ouachita Mountains By Using Image Compression Techniques. A Lens With Extreme Focal Length Was Selected To Give A Flattening Effect To the Image Thereby Fusing The Various Peaks And Valleys Into One Flowing Shape Suggesting That The Mountains Go On Forever. The Time Of Day Was Carefully Selected For The Recordation Of The Image In Order To Insure As Much In-Camera Data As Possible For The Best Rendering Of The Muted Purples, Blues And Greens. The Extreme 4:1 Crop Ratio Also Implies A Feeling Of Endlessness In This Commercial Landscape Photograph By Brian Buckner Photography, Shreveport, Louisiana.
